Itinerary

Upon arrival in Casablanca, your private driver will greet and welcome you. Depending on your arrival time, you will visit Mosque of Hassan II, the largest and elaborately designed mosque in Africa. It is located on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic Ocean with 209m tall minaret. Hassan II Mosque is absolutely architectural masterpiece and it has 105.000 worshippers capacity. After Casablanca visits, you will head to the modern capital, Rabat for overnight stay. (Total: 1.5 hour driving)

Rabat is the fascinating mix of old and new. After breakfast you will explore the attractions of Rabat; picturestic northern wall of the Oudaïa Kasbah, Hassan Tower & Mohamed V Mausoleum and Dar al-Makhzen (Royal Palace) is the offical residence of the King. After Rabat city exploration, you will head to Tangier to visit the Cave of Hercules, The Cape Spartel and Punic-Roman graves in Hafa necropolis, Tangier. Also you will have nice oppurtunity to take photos of Europe from continent Africa. End of the day, you will wander around Old Medina and Grand Socco. (Total: 3 hours driving)

Today you will visit Old Medina of Tetouan which is in the list of UNESCO World Heritage site and having your orientation walk around city. Then you head toward to vividly blue-colored small city, Chefchaouen. Upon on arrival the city, you will have guided walking tour to see Kasbah Museum, Plaza Uta El-Hammam and Grand Mosque and wander around blue colored streets. Get ready to take amazing photos in Blue City with splendid doors, blue washed houses at narrow streets. (Total: 2.5 hours driving)

Today you will visit breathtaking archaeological site of Volubilis (Walili), Morocco’s most well preserved & impressive Roman ruins. Your local guide will escort you on a walk around 2000 year old ruins; The Capitoline Temple, Basilica, Roman Baths, Triumphal Arch, Houses & Palaces which adorned with beautiful mosaics. Imperial City of Meknes offers amazing attaractions to explore the most beautiful gate of Bab Mansour, Heri es-Souani (Royal Stables for 12.000 horses), Agdal Reservoir, Old Medina and the Bab el-Khemis via Thursday Gate. Today you will visit cultural & spiritual capital of Morocco, Fes. Your local guide will escort you around the oldest working medina in the world that many refer to as a living museum. Step back into the medival ages in the labyrinth of the medina, which is alive with craftsmen, markets, tanneries and mosques. Passing donkeys piled high with goods (this is one of the biggest car-free urban zones in the world with 9000 narrow streets) and explore the specialty sections that seperate the souk. You will start to explore step by step Royal Palace, Jewish Quarter, Blue Gate, Clock Tower, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain & Museum of Wooden, Oldest University Al Quaraouiyin and its mosque & library, experience handicraft weavers, Al Attarine Madrasa, The Tanneries, Borj Sud & Nord, experience of local art Moroccan tiles (zellige) and more...

Today you will leave Fes behind at early morning and head towards the Middle Atlas mountains. Ascending over the Atlas Mountains enroute you will pass by Ifrane, a beautiful ski resort, known as “Little Switzerland” and see the cedar woods and barbary apes in Azrou. You will have your lunch at middle of journey in Midelt Town where is famous with apple production. Descending through the Atlas Mountains, you will drive along the Ziz Valley with giant palm trees, here is the largest dates producer in Morocco. Arrive in Merzouga (Sahara Desert) before sunset and then go by dromedary camel 45-60 minutes during sunset, at Erg Chebbi Dunes. Overnight in luxury desert camp in Merzouga. This morning you will visit the musicians of Khamlia in Merzouga, a century-old Gnaoua group that performs ancient trance music. Then you leave from Sahara Desert to Skoura Palm Oasis. We will stop in Todra Gorge enroute where the 300m canyons will literally take your breath away and you can walk along the shallow river enjoying the changing colours. At Boumalne-du-Dades you will encounter the dry, rugged Dades Valley that is dotted with oases of figs, olives, date palms and castellated mud houses hugging the slopes. After brekfast, you will visit well preserved Kasbah Amridil in Skoura Palm Oasis and head to Ouarzazate – Hollywood of Africa – is a world renowned film making location. From Lawrence of Arabia in the 60’s to Salmon Fishing in the Yemen 2011 – you can visit the Atlas Studios (optional). Then you head to the fortified city of Ait Ben Haddou and you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, the most spectacular Ksar in all of Morocco. Situated on the old caravan route from the Sahara to Marrakech. Overnight in Ait Benhaddou. (Total: 2 hours driving)

Today you head towards Taroudant. There will be the opportunity to stop firstly in Tazenakht – Land of carpets and then Taliouine – Land of Saffron. There are a number of women’s cooperatives in this very rural area which have been set up to help the women earn a living and command a fair price for their work and here you can see the process of saffron extraction. Taroudant, which is an authentic Berber market town, is known as “Mini Marrakech” but as it is not so visited by tourists, it offers a much more authentic experience. (Total: 3.5 hours driving)

Today you will see a completely different side of Morocco along the Atlantic coastline to Essaouira. An authentic medival seaside town, Essaouira is an alluring, unspoilt destination with a tangible North African feel. Visit this charming artist colony that boasts lovely white-washed and blue-shuttered houses, colonnades, thuya wood workshops, art galleries, and mouthwatering seafoods. Take a stroll along the town’s the old medina, Jewish mellah, port and skala (sea wall), the fishing harbor, offering breathtaking views of the Portuguese ramparts. Today you can leave from Essaouira whenever do you want because you will have 3 hours journey to reach Marrakech. The journey will take us through orange groves and olive farms and deep into argan country. These special trees are valued for their nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. The tree is extremely well adapted to drought and other environmentally difficult conditions of South-western Morocco. Argan Trees are growing only in this region in the world. You will have great opportunity to visit Argan Tree Factory to see process and products enroute to Marrakech. Don’t miss to take goats pictures on Argan trees. (Total: 3 hours driving)

Today you will visit tourism capital of Morocco, 'the Ochre City' Marrakech. Your local guide will escort you around 12th century Koutoubia Mosque (named "mosque of booksellers") is the biggest mosque of Marrakech, 19th century Bahia Palace is intended to be the greatest palace of its time (named "brilliance"). Majorelle Garden is one of the most visited botanic garden in Morocco which is founded by French painter Jacques Majorelle and sold by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. Then you will be meandering the arms-width streets of the souks bazaars to Jamaa El Fna Square, the famous market square in Marrakech’s old quarter complete with storytellers, magicians, food stalls and snake charmers. Enjoy your fresh fruit juice at Jamaa El Fna square end of the day.
